This 72-page, 8 1/2” x 11” book is based on oral histories with Jack & Lucille Barratt, and George Burfiend. It is also based on their family photo collections. It traces the histories of two related farms and families, starting with the arrival of Port Oneida’s first white settler, Carsten Burfiend. It coninues with the the arrival of the Bakers and the development of the two farms. Included are other bits of history from around Port Oneida, as shared by Jack, Lucille, and George. It sells for $16. If you buy it from me, I’ll pay the sales tax.
